The Department of Ophthalmology is pleased to announce the addition of the KU Eye Surgery and Laser Center, LLC., now known as the University of Kansas Hospital - Specialty Surgery. The Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery Division offers comprehensive care and medical and surgical consultation of the retina from specialists who are dedicated to excellence. In addition to standard intraocular lens implants, patients may elect to have a premium implant to enhance the quality of vision (i.e. an aspheric implant), to reduce astigmatism (i.e. a toric implant), or to provide both distance and reading vision to decrease the need for glasses (i.e. a multifocal or accommodating implant).
