The number one thing people say today about Pentecostals and Charismatics is that they are insane lunatics because of the way they bark, howl, oink, laugh, scream, jump around like they have ants-in-their-pants, crawl on the floor and act insane. I'm a born-again Christian and I definitely think they're a bunch of nuts You Are Healed! Some modern Oneness adherents are in an effort to distance Oneness theology from ancient modalism because of the problems in the idea of God revealed in successive roles. The major trinitarian pentecostal organizations, however, including the "Pentecostal World Conference" and the "Fellowship of Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches of North America", have condemned Oneness theology as a heresy and refuse membership to churches holding this belief The Fourfold Gospel: Christ Our Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming Lord (Holy Spirit Christian Classics). Only it was far from what I believed God had told me to do: send out waves of young people from all denominations into evangelism. Later, though, Charismatic denominations and independant churches came into being that took on the name 'Charismatic' but their teachings were more like Pentecostals in a lot of ways. In the old days, a lot of Pentecostals would not go to the movie house and dressed a certain way (no jeweltry, etc.) Charismatics came along with their women wearing makeup and some of them even drank wine back then Heart to Heart (Heart to Heart Series). Or that nearly every mainline and evangelical denomination has been influenced by Pentecostal musical styles, as anyone who has been to a contemporary worship service can attest? Bishop John Howe of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida, who once pastored a church with "charismatic" leanings, says the Pentecostal movement has been "a tremendous blessing" to all Christian churches Setting Yourself Free, Deliverance from Darkness.
